Work Space Ideas

I am all over the place at the moment, and my room is a mess; so, in order to become a much more inspired, organised person I am going to firstly, re-arrange my work space. I have researched some ideas on the internet and shown some of my favourites above, which will hopefully give me ideas for my own room.

Winter Kate

I wish I was rich so I could have a wardrobe full of Winter Kate clothes! This seasons stuff is so beautiful, mixing the light, silk florals with tough wedges. Nicole Richie just does everything right, including her House of Harlow collection. Check out all her designs and more at nicolerichie.com !

Olin & The Moon - I Don't Wanna Be

Outfit of the Day 26/07/11

I feel like on days like today, this is the perfect outfit. Keeping to darker neutrals, but ranging from different colour palettes, this girl has created layers for warmth but kept the outfit looking interesting. I really like the baggyness of the blazer and tee, and the contrast in material with the scarf. The boots and slouch bag keep to the grunge vibe, making the outfit complete!

Outfit of the Day 21/07/11

I am all for leather and baggy knits, and Rosie's look is perfect! Keeping the outfit itself simple, she adds a fedora and snake skin bag to make it more high fashion, and the ballet flats for comfort (one of my personal favourites). I really love her simple silver jewellery too, something I am looking out for at the moment myself.

Nicola Roberts - Beat of my Drum

Outfit of the Day 16/07/11

Erin Wasson's outfit is so effortless. Her baggy, below-the-knee dress completely clashes with her clumpy boots, both gorgeous. With her surfer waves and minimal make-up, this outfit is just the definition of boho chic.

Elie Saab Fall 2011

The Elie Saab Fall 2011 collection was just stunning! The colour scheme included dark reds, purples and neutrals which were the perfect combination. I love that she designed two types of dress: the clean cut, simple A-line and the glitzy, heavily embroidered maxi, both completely contrasting and bloody gorgeous. My personal favourite is this red floaty number (above), very similar to the Lanvin dress from last season.

Outfit of the Day 11/07/11

This skirt is just to die for, and I want it so so bad! I love how Olivia sticks to pastel colours, but clashes the green and blues, making them match perfectly in typical Palermo style. She also wears her other key essentials - ballet flats, a large tote and cat eye sunglasses.

Seventies Hat

For my photography project I am looking at fashion though the decades, and this is my take on seventies fashion. I am using it for my final piece, and to be honest, I am quite pleased with it.

Outfit of the Day 10/07/11

I love the simplicity of this outfit. The leather shorts give it an edge, and the knitted top in bright yellow lightens it up for summer. By opting for Chelsea boots, she gives it a more casual feel, and the slouch bag adds to this.  This is definitely something I would wear on a day to day basis, maybe shopping or even something as simple as going for a coffee.

Cover of the Month: Vogue

Maybe it's a cliché, but Kate Moss just belongs on the cover of Vogue. Looking especially glamorous, Mrs Jamie Hince wears a Chinese inspired kimono which I think really represents the summer feeling. Congratulations Kate!

New Designers Event, London

I recently went to the New Designers Event in Islington and found it so inspirational! Some of the work was amazing, made by students graduating from university. There was a wide range of different textile products there from surface to design to animation; but of course I was most attracted to the fashion products. They didn't let us take many pictures but here are a few that I got.
