High Praise for Kling

As much as I love to dress up and really experiment with fashion, I do also appreciate the simplicity of a tee and jeans. And what better icon then Elin Kling to show off how to do it. Whatever she wears she looks amazing, and to do this she makes her outfit a little more edgy than the classic look by changing it up a bit. Instead of basic jeans, add in some leather or wax look jeans; mix different textured tops and tees; and to make it look classy and stylish without trying too hard, a perfect pair of heels.

A quick post of what I wore today: a slouch Breton top, charcoal leggings with a leather panel (both H&M), pointed courts (Primark), chain necklace (Next) and leopard print watch (River Island).  

Today's Sale Buys

Just thought I share with ya the items I bought today. I'm in love with any kind of waxed jean so these dark green ones were a perfect add to my wardrobe, and the over-sized t-shirt I couldn't resist for only £7 in the sale!

Mango Post-Christmas Sale

I love love love Mango, even though I don't own that many items form there, as there are hardly any stores near where I live. However I have been browsing the online sale and have found some pieces which are pretty basic, but wardrobe staples! I hope to be purchasing them very soon (maybe even in the next hour or so).

Christmas Nails

Every year I try and find the perfect Christmas nail varnish, and this year its 'Gold Glitter' by Barry M. I love the light gold colour which looks great with pretty much anything and is very festive. They also had a gorgeous red glitter as well, so I'm sure that will be my next nail purchase! 

Christmas Gift Ideas

I know the struggles of finding the right Christmas gift for somebody, so I have complied some ideas together that I would love to receive, and I'm sure others would too. Now, I made myself a 'no clothes' rule other wise the list would be filled with items that would probably amount to a very high price, so have decided to stick to things that are a little less expensive.

Textures

Today I went shopping for the first time in ages and (unintentionally) bought myself a couple of new things. As you can see I like to keep my colours pretty basic, and play around with the textures a bit. The jeweled shorts are from River Island in the sale, and I just fell in love with them as I've been looking for some embellished shorts for a long time. The white skirt was a bit of a spontaneous buy, but looks really cute with my new pointed courts, another item I've wanted for a while!

Red Lips

The power of the red lip. I know I have already mention the dark red lip, but nothing beats what I call 'the power lip'. Its makes any outfit looks classy, whether its a smart LBD or jeans and a tee. And whats better is that there is a shade for every one. Something I suggest everyone invest in!

Sky Ferreira even sings a song about it.

Cocoon Coat

I got a new winter coat yay, and its one just like what I've been wanting for ages! Ever since I saw Miranda Kerr in her cocoon coat, I have wanted one as I think it is such a great shape. The one I bough was a Primark number, and although the shape isn't exactly right, I bought it in a bigger size so that it gives the same effect (sorry for the crappy image, the lighting was awful). 

Illusion

I saw the Stella McCartney Illusion dress first on Kate Moss; and even though she doesn't need to create any illusion as she already has a great bod, it really did accentuate her curves. As that is a little out of my price range, I was searching eBay and found so many different versions. The dress above (right) will hopefully be in my closet soon, and will look great for a night out without being too over-the-top. 

December Playlist

I am really passionate about music, and listen to it when I'm working, showering or just when I need a little inspiration. So every month I'm going to post some songs that I think you all should be listening to .. I will be!



1. Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pools

I love the vibe of this song, so cool and upbeat, but in a chilled way.

2. Willy Moon - Yeah Yeah

He did not sound like what I thought he would, but I love it! Favourite new artist of the moment.

3. Athlete - Wires

An old favourite, but I just can't stop listening to it!

4. Calvin Harris - Feel So Close (Benny Benassi Remix)

I was never a huge fan of the original, but the remix makes it so much more listenable. 

5. Ed Sheeran - Kiss Me 

Who doesn't love Ed! I would post all his songs, but that might get a little repetitive..

6. Lissie  - Go Your Own Way

Ever since hearing this on the trailer for Safe Haven I have loved this song (and I can't wait to see the movie!)

New Style Crush

Suki Waterhouse. Remember that name because this girl is going places in terms of style and modelling. I don't know how I haven't discovered her before, I mean I've seen the odd picture on blogs but didn't realize what amazing clothes she wears! She's my new inspiration, and from this I'm going to be pairing a lot more creepers with lace dresses, and buying a lot more tweed and leather. I love how she always looks really classy; her clothes are wearable by anyone, and I'm sure there are many high street copies which are much more affordable, as her style is so versatile!

The Little Black Jacket Exhibition

I do not know how I did not hear about this before now (and when it's almost over) but I am so excited about it. The Chanel Little Black Jacket exhibition has been taking place all over the world, and it currently residing at The Saatchi Gallery in London. I am planing on going next week as it ends on November 4th and has free entry, so get yourselves down there! I really can not wait to see the photographs on a large scale and hope to get the book when it comes out as well, as you can never have to much of Chanel..

I am in love with Mango's range of Jackets this season. I seem to have gained a jacket obsession in recent months, maybe its because of the colder months coming or just the variety that's out there at the moment.
